I bought this small but sultry friend after the heating system blew from our nyc apartment in the midst of a snowstorm. By the time it landed a couple days later, the snow had turned to slush and the heating was back on. But I still plugged it in and let her rip! The oscillating heat was warm and cozy and gently permeated the room in a matter of minutes. My dog immediately curled up beside it, the whole scene reminding me of drinking hot choccies beside the fireplace as a kid. I appreciate the timer and the other safety features, and I especially enjoy the touch screen buttons that respond to even the clumsiest of gestures. Also, the casing is sleek and elegant. 10/10 would recommend!

Wow!! My basement was freezing 🥶 withing a he and at 72 my basement became nice and warm. I now have it on the eco mode and it is comfortable. Happy with this purchase.

This little heater does a great job keeping our room over the garage warm. It's very quiet, fan distributes the heat evenly and once the set temperature is reached, it stops, then restarts when the room temperature drops below the set heater temperature. I like having the remote so I can adjust the temp from anywhere in the room. The room is about 12' X 14'. Within an hour or less the room is comfortable even when the outside temp is in 30s.

This heater works well, including the thermostat. It heats the area up quickly and only makes very minimal noise. Size and shape are attractive. The weight is minimal.

It works very well. It is not too noisy, but does give a little bit of fan noise if that will help you sleep. It has a lot of safety features, like a cold down function when you turn it off to help extend its life. those features help give me peace of mind when I sleep. I primarily use it to heat my bedroom durning the cold nights, and it is a little too good at its job so I end up turning it down a bit. The three power modes work great, but the eco mode will only help you a little bit. you would use that mode to help maintain a temperature of your choosing. Pretty well priced especially if you can get a good deal on it.

This space heater is perfect for small RVs. Specially if you have pets, you can’t even hear it. The heat output is very good. If you have a decent size room it’s would be perfect for it, like a small room to a medium room is good, works beautiful , looks really nice and easy to fit in small y places and the timer on it is actually really good too I constantly use it for my cat when I’m leaving for it I put it for 5 hours on 80 cuz my cats loves to be warm, gives no sort of smell and it does really make your room HOT so don’t put it to far up unless it’s your preference 🤷🏻

If I could give this 6 stars I would. This little space heater is perfect for my studio apartment. It has a small footprint and is very quiet. I needed something to bail out the radiators when they inexplicably go off for a period of time. This little gadget acts as a buffer zone against the draft I get from my bank of 5 windows. It is easy to use right out of the box and self-explanatory. I use the economical mode at night and keep it on H1 intermittently during the day.(it has H2 and H3 for more heat). It also has a fan mode, an oscillation mode, and a timer. There was an odor emanating from it when I first used it, but that is gone. I couldn't be more happy with my mighty little winter protector.

Temperature monitor doesnt appear to be consistent and the buttons being touch buttons is annoying in a dark room since you will hit the wrong buttons. Other than that, has lasted a few years so far and it does do its job. I use it every day

This is the little heater that could!! It is very affordable and really heats up a 12x14 bedroom well. The only thing
I should have noticed in the decription is that you can't actually set a temperature and then have it turn off when it reaches that temperature. There are 3 settings 1- low through 3 - high. Other than that, I recommend this heater highly.

The Dreo DR-HSH003 is one fine unit! From the unboxing, to the setup ease, to it's immediate heating when it turns on, this "dumb" space heater is well worth the investment! I say "dumb" because the only feature this unit doesn't have is Wifi app support. But outside of that, it does exactly what I need it to do!

I needed a space heater that runs on 110V for my 1-car, 220 sq ft garage, which is setup in an off-grid electric environment using a Delta Pro 3 power station and two extra batteries, and where I recharge with solar. The 240V ceiling-mounted space heater that I was using, used way too much of my battery bank capacity (12.2kWh total), and where it would have required a 2nd Delta Pro 3 setup in parallel just to run it. This Dreo, with it's 110V, 1500W/1000W/0W power output with automatic temperature sensing and power cycling, was THE perfect fit for my use case. On cold winter days here in the mountains (it's only 20F outside today), I can keep my garage at 63F with this heater with free electric during the day (I average 5kWH-7.5kWh of solar charging daily). On the bad winter solar days, I switch the heater back to grid power to keep my battery bank topped off. And of course, during a grid-down situation, I can keep my garage heated on backup power for about 24 hours (not including solar or backup DC generator charging, which will give me extra run time if needed).

This heater cycles on and off nicely. And when the room temperature falls below the set temperature on the heater, it only uses 1000W when it powers bank on. It doesn't stay on too long, and then powers back off, which will save you a good amount of money on your electric bills. This is also one of the quietest space heaters I've ever come across, and it has a nice small footprint given how much it heats.

My 4 year old quartz tower quit this year. So I got 4 winters out of it but I was happy with it the whole time. I researched all space heaters and decided to try one with the bells and whistles. My old one didn't have a remote and didn't oscillate or have a timer or digital display. All it had was Off, Low, High and a dial for a thermostat. I settled on this one. It came today. I like the bells and whistles I didn't have before but I should have ordered a 24" or 23" instead of a 15". I was used to a 23" and really notice the difference. I have to sit right in front of it to feel the heat. Not that it doesn't put out enough heat, it certainly does that. It sits in front of my recliner and I felt the heat straight at me with the 23" but not with this one. I only feel it when I put my feet down. It may not be enough for the room size which is about 12x15. I won't be using the timer. I like for it to just run until I shut it off. I set the thermostat at a much higher temp than what I want and just run it on high or low. I tried the oscillate but decided I just want it to stay put. I also researched today about quartz vs. ceramic. I found out ceramic is cheaper to buy but may cost more to run. It heats the air quick but not people. The quartz is opposite. It is more expensive to buy and cheaper to run and warms people quicker. So taking all this in consideration I have decided to buy another quartz tower 24" without all the extras I don't need and keep this little one as a back up. So the design is great. The heat output is great. The size is not unless you spend a lot of time on the floor or want to put this on a table which was not an option for me with cats. It is totally quiet. I can't hear it running at all. It does put out a lot of heat for being so small. It is pretty and sleek looking. The remote is a bonus I will miss with my new quartz tower when it gets here but I didn't have one before so it's ok. I hope I have covered enough to help you make an informed decision. I gave it a 4 because of the height but that's not really a bad thing for some people.

This heater is FANTASTIC! It turns off and on in ECO mode to keep your room at a set steady temperature. You can put it on a timer. Or you keep it on continually at 3 different heat settings.

It also has just a fan mode.

It will shut off if it overheats or tips over. And it has a child lock for the touch screen if you have children...... or cats.

It comes with a portable, easy to use remote. Perfect for our bedroom.

It works fast and meets my expectation and looks sleek. There is a mild metal burning odor if i leave it on at H1( lowest wattage) for more than 2hrs. Otherwise, Ok for the cost.

This space heater throws out a lot of heat and heats my room in minutes.I just question the longevity of the item as I only had it about a month and all the sudden it makes a clicking noise when rotating very irritating.I do like this heater and so want it to work.Amazon is sending me a replacement and am Leary as to how long it will last? Have to purchase a extended warranty just as a piece of mind.. check out my video and you can clearly hear the noise..

An excellent little heater that puts out plenty of hot air. It's quiet when running and I like the 3 different heating levels available. A great purchase I've been using daily.

This heater exceeded my expectations. It's been awhile since I needed to purchase a standalone heater for my space. This heater is small but gets the job done. It's design is nice and the touch "buttons" added a nice modern touch. The remote works well and came with the cell battery already in it. I love how well it heats up.. I've used it for some of the coldest nights on record that the bay area has had in 100 years.

When I bought this, probably by my error, but I expected it to be taller. However, this thing has not disappointed. I needed it for an addition that was added to my house prior to me owning it. The previous owner turned the back porch into a ‘mudroom/secondary kitchen’ and it is where our dogs sleep. The insulation was kind of poor to say the least. So I got this to give it a try.

Now, as soon as I step down the stairs in the morning I can feel the heat all the way down the hall way. This has been perfect for our need, and has greatly surprised me with the heat output. I am even considering buying another one now for our living room to just heat our main floor verse run our furnace and have to heat the whole house.

Absolutely love this heater! It's the perfect size for my den, which is ALWAYS cold, I live in an older home. I've tried other heaters in the past but nothing would completely warm the room. This one does. I was originally looking for more of a tower heater but purchased this due to reviews and price - perfect choice.
Delivered on time, easiest set up - plug and heat - that's all; love the remote. Once the room is toasty I can turn the fan down and not disturb the dog and cat in my lap (very important). This is one of the quietest heaters I have come across, you literally cannot hear the fan blowing, even on high. Great value for the price, love the safety features and the timer has come in very useful. I was expecting a "new" smell once plugged in but it was and remains completely odorless. Great value for the money, the oscillation is perfect for the entire room and it's so quiet you forget it's on.

The heater is everything I had hoped it would be and more. It is perfect for my first floor townhome and keeps me very cozy. I love the oscillation, and I definitely love the remote that goes with it.

I purchased this heater to use in a small office that measures approximately 15' x 20'. It is capable of heating the whole room with the door closed, but I mainly keep is within 3 feet of my desk to warm myself directly because our building has an A/C system that runs 24/7 and is ALWAYS too damned cold. I have now had this heater for more than a month and am very happy with it as I am able to control the temperature quite easily and it warms up quickly and operates without issues. It is also very quiet when operating. All in all, I give it 5-stars for high quality.

This heater works really well and produces plenty of heat while staying energy efficient. It includes great features like a timer, multiple heat levels, an adjustable temperature setting, an eco mode, and important safety features.
The only downside is that the labels on the control buttons wear off too easily, which really affects the ability to use the heater properly. Aside from that, it’s a great heater so that issue is very disappointing.

Very effective at tripping breakers. It was able to trip multiple breakers from dedicated gfci, 15 amp arc fault, old school 15 amp. It normally happened after 45-75 minutes of run time. I ended up cutting the power cord before recycling it so that someone else would not try to use it.

This is a good heater for a small area, my home is small and one of these in each bedroom is more than enough. It swivels, comes with a remote that I quickly lost, and puts out a nice volume of heat. It’ll suffice in winter night while I’m under a down comforter and in the meantime it’s perfect to keep my plants happy in a steady temperature range.

Although I’ve only had a pair of these heaters for a single day, I’m impressed so far. The unit is both unobtrusive and easy on the eyes… the design is minimalist and unfussy, unlike many others. With the fan on its highest setting, this heater is extremely quiet. I live in a wooded rural area with very little ambient noise, and I have to walk across the living room to get close enough to the heater to tell whether it’s running or not.

The heat output is more than sufficient to keep a modest sized room plenty warm. In a larger space, it will supplement central heating. You can turn down your main thermostat and reduce the time you’ll be heating the rest of your house to keep the room you’re in comfortably warm.

I bought the model with an ALCI plug, just as a belt and suspenders safety measure… there are comparable DREO models without that additional protection that will save you ten or twenty bucks if you don’t feel it’s necessary. The ALCI circuitry is sensitive enough that it will shut the heater down if there is a significant surge in your AC current… mine has already tripped once when the power did a momentary up and down blip.

All told, whether you buy a less expensive 16 inch model with a standard plug or this model with an ALCI plug, this is a remarkably good value for money. I can’t speak to durability and longevity but I see no reason it will not remain inservice a decent amount of time.

I expected more heat from this . I think the fan is spot on but there’s not enough heat. Maybe mine could be defective because at 95° I can be sitting about 3 1/2 feet away and I barely feel the heat when I’m up close I feel it so I’m not sure if it’s the product or it’s me but I will give this three stars because it does work it does oscillate fan does blow. It’s just not enough heat for me would I recommend honestly , I would caution on buying it after seeing some of the reviews

**Update: for clarity I would add that this heater works okay. However, when the tower is on the floor and I am seated in a chair, and because the heating element is short, then it difficult for me to feel the heat on my legs. I had to stack about 4-5" of books beneath the heater just to feel the heat on my legs lap and lower body. Since the heating element to the older model is taller, I absolutely do not have this problem. Therefore, in my opinion, the newer one is definitely NOT as good as the old one. **

I struggle to get heat dispersed properly with the new one. Then I figured out why. If you can see the picture you'll notice that the heating elements are two different sizes even though they are the exact same brand, style and model. The old heater with the taller heating element distributes the heat far better than the shorter wider heating element in the newer heater. I'm disappointed but will keep it. I just know what to look for next time and definitely will be shopping in a store rather than ordering online again.

I’ve had this heater for about 4 years now, and it’s easily one of the best home purchases I’ve made.

Very nice heater. It's solid & works very well. It warms up very quickly. Probably within 5 to 10 seconds & generates very hot heat. It warms up my 13×15 space within a few minutes & keeps it very toasty. Great features & remote control is fantastic. Plus the button battery is already installed. I love this heater! I was using a crappy $20 space heater and decided to upgrade, and it's made such a difference! The selling points for me were the remote control, the oscillation, and the thermostat. I love that I can set it to a specific temp and then just forget about it (until I turn it off). With my other heater, I was constantly turning it off and on, rotating it, and adjusting between the two heat settings (high and low). This has 3 heat settings and adjusts itself, so it uses less energy than with me fiddling with it all day. It's also quieter than what I was using. No noticeable smell from mine. It's noticeably cheaper than other brand models that do the same thing, which is why I chose it. It even worked after having liquid spilled on it! Although I kinda wish it hadn't because my friend's dog peed on it and I didn't know until I turned it on and urine steam came shooting out of it. That's a smell I won't forget in a hurry, and now it's baked in. Thank goodness I bought the insurance for it! I'm definitely getting the same model to replace it and am sad I'll have to use the old crappy one until it's delivered.

Note that this doesn't have a safety switch on the bottom, so it still runs when knocked over. I recommend not peeing on it, if at all possible.

Unit touch control pad it lite i barly touch led the control pad...didn't even think I touched it and it came on... it's 0° real feel of -17 and I'm using this is an added Heater to the Window heat unit that we have in my guard shack. I'm in to keep my legs warm. it's not bad it's doable I'm in the metal Shack. it's doable.

The metal screen does get hot so beware of touching it

DREO is a first class Space Heater that performs better than advertised. Well worth the money. I’m using it in my Man Cave which used to be my back yard patio and the little heater heats the area efficiently and effectively. Extremely happy with the product. Will buy another one for my office too.

We got this to heat our old house's root cellar. My husband was skeptical when he saw the heater...small & light. But he was immediately wowed by how powerful it is! We love the safety plug and it was so easy to set up with the temperature control!

I'd long resisted getting a space heater for my office, but this winter I finally caved and after a minimal amount of research I decided to get this one. I've used it quite a bit in the six weeks since I got it, under my desk while I work all day, and I'm very happy with it. It works great, the remote is very intuitive, and it's easy to set an automatic shutoff timer in case I wander off and forget to come back and turn it off.

If I was buying again I'd get this one again.

I seldom write reviews but had to give little heater a glowing review. Our central heater system broke down and it was a cold period in SoCal. After reading the New York Times Wirecutter review of the best space heaters with this one coming up to the top of the list I was sold. Not only is it powerful, it’s stylistic in design, small and light weight. It be easy to store once my main heater is repaired.

I'm blind in one eye so I'm not able to read the book that came with it. That had very small print. so I have to admit that it took me a long time to figure out how to work this heater. But once I did, I've enjoyed it and it works in the space. It's supposed to. The only issue I have is the remote does not always activate the heater. The way it should with EASE!!!

I've always struggled to use my sunroom during the winter months. I didn't want to invest in a large, bulky space heater, so I put off finding a solution.
While browsing Amazon, I came across this low-profile heater, and I'm so glad I did! It's been working wonderfully, easily keeping the room at a comfortable 75 degrees Fahrenheit. I especially appreciate that it automatically shuts off once the desired temperature is reached.

If you have a large room or very little insulation, you might need something more powerful. However, for my small sunroom, it's absolutely perfect. It's also quite unobtrusive and complements the room's decor.

After sifting through reviews I decided to try this out for add-on living room, 20x20, 400 square feet, tall ceiling. After 5hrs on 85 degrees room temp raised 2 degrees. I placed on floor to start then elevated onto a table. Didn't matter, temp didn't exceed that. The tall ceiling +size of room (not connected to home HVAC) too much for heater that says covers 200 sq feet.

However, aesthetically its nice to look at, very quiet, lightweight. Front of the unit gets hot extremely fast and in large room can't feel air flow four feet away.
Silencing the "beep" of pushing buttons is irritating. There is a silence button on the remote but it doesn't silence after pressing it. Have to hold it down for few seconds, and even then fails to remove it. When turn unit on/off need to silence it each time.

Finally, I do not like the red plug indicator on display (always on); Ithought something was wrong initially but it displays when the unit is plugged in.

I live in TX and am cold year round. 🙃 I absolutely love this heater. I previously had a different well known brand that was much taller at my last job and while it did warm me up it wasn't ever as hot as this one gets. I personally feel like the remote, timer and swivel are worth the extra money compared to the smaller version. But I will say that after I bought this my coworker bought the smaller version and is happy with hers.
I can turn on in the morning with my remote without having to bend down under the desk. It has sound/chimes for every press of the button but that can be turned off. I can set for how many hrs needed and then it will auto shut off. It also has temp settings and will shutoff when reached. Also I work in a cubicle and this is extremely quiet. On the first day of use my boss walked over and didn't know I had it but commented how cold the office was and how warm my desk was, then I pointed out my new heater!

I originally purchased this same model last Dec for my home office. This year I bought a 2nd so I would not have to carry it back and forth to the bedroom. The one pictured is gold trim. Just wanted to share my experience with the Dreo Space Heater. This little champ arrived quickly, just in time for a party I hosted in my garage.

Despite the chilly 40°F weather outside, this heater kept our two-car garage comfortably warm throughout the event. It's impressive how much heat this compact 16-inch unit can produce!

What I really appreciated was how user-friendly it is. Setting it up and operating it is a breeze - truly plug-and-play. The remote control is a convenient touch too.

A big plus is how quiet the fan is. You can barely hear it running, which was great for our party atmosphere. No need to shout over noisy machinery!

Now, to be completely honest, there is one small drawback. The fan speed is a bit on the low side. It still does the job, but a higher speed option would be nice for quicker heating.

Overall, if you're looking for a reliable, quiet way to heat a larger space like a garage, especially for gatherings, this Dreo heater is definitely worth considering. It made our party much more enjoyable.

Caused one of my outlets to burn. Works well, you just got to give it a couple of minutes for it to actually heat up the room. Started to make my room smell like fish after my 5th use of it. The remote connects well. The fan is somewhat quiet which is good. Breaks down pretty fast since it’s burning itself, causing the fish smell.

I wasn’t so sure on this when I ordered it, and was even more alarmed when I got it and saw how small it is. It’s only like a foot tall and about 6 inches wide. I bought it to test it out for possible use replacing my in-wall small space heaters supplied with my rental duplex. The supplied units are horrible on electricity, don’t have any kind of specific heat setting or “thermostat” effect so they often just run and run and run even if on the lower settings. A pain in the .. and costly. These small space heaters are much better. Likely much better on electricity in part because they have specific temp settings for shutoff, and they also come with a remote! I am hoping they pay for themselves in one season. I plan on having 4 total, one for each room’s in-wall heaters. These are small as I mentioned, but they heat up extremely fast and they put out a surprisingly good amount of heat. Similar to the in-wall units they are replacing.

I did not expect it to be so small, no I did not read the measurements. But it’s small and powerful. I love it. I thought I would regret ordering and was going to go back to radiator style heater. I know I’ve only had it for a day and it’s not even that cold yet(fall only 60 Fahrenheit right now). I wanted to be ready for the winter beforehand. This thing is SO powerful. I do have a small space though. I’m saving the box to store in the warmer season. It has a divot in the top, back for your hand to hold and move it. No weird smell as of now.

I really like this product. We have one in our bedroom as well as our daughters for the winter time. It is small and speak to where it doesn’t take a lot of space up.
I feel great about the safety of it due to its auto turnoff when it reaches the desired temperature you have it set to, so it isn’t a constant running heater. The quality of the product is great and sturdy!
There isn’t a burning smell like sometimes a furnace will do, and we have dogs so it is nice it doesn’t smell like burning dog hair either.

The only dislike I have is that we put it on a white piece of furniture and the bottom of the heater left marks on it from the sticky grips on the bottom. So watch out for that on your surfaces and floors.

My small apartment I just moved into has those baseboard heaters and once I got my first electricity bill during winter season I promptly got on Amazon for another energy efficient option!

I picked this heater for the good reviews and functionality and so far it doesn't disappoint. I appreciate the remote for laziness reasons as well.

The heater swivels if you need and has a nifty temperature function so it's not constantly running and saves on electricity supposedly. Also has a timer if you want to blast the heat on low, medium, or high mode. There's also a fan mode but that's what I have a fan for so don't necessarily plan on using that function ever.

Heats up my bedroom quickly and even my larger sized living room too. Satisfied with this purchase so far!

This is a powerhouse, I'm kicking myself for buying those Dyson heaters after having used this one for over a month now. WOW. One night I went into our spare bedroom to do some paperwork. It registered 62 Degrees (we didn't cover the AC this year, and it's drafty). Within 25 minutes it went up to 71. This is a fairly large bedroom, with a double and single bed and night table in between beds. We are so happy with it. Also in my kitchen, it keeps it toasty. (I purchased two different models) If you are on the fence, go for it. Goodbye Dyson. "Update", please plug this "Directly" into the socket. I believe it tells you that. I plugged into one of those square things that turns a two socket wall outlet into 6. I smelled burning plastic, unplugged it and noticed that I burned that white square socket addition. Also don't plug into power strips. They tell you all that. So I burned the plug slightly, I threw it away and I'm back to buy it again. It's the "BOMB". The best out there, you won't be sorry.

I bought this in a hurry, it’s been raining so I needed a quick fix to my problem. I ordered this and I am NOT disappointed at all. It was easy to set up, took maybe 5 minutes or less after unboxing. Easily with the remote and instruction can turn it on, let it oscillate or even Be still and it heats up quickly. First night of use and I slept amazing with how warm and comfortable it felt.

This space heater was great for the few months I've had it. Recently it has been shorting out and smoking. It sparked and my carpet almost caught fire! Thank God I was close by. Please be cautious when purchasing this space heater...

I love this heater so much! But after having it for a few months, I noticed when it turns it starts to lag a bit. Little worried it is becoming faulty and will just stop. But other than that, absolutely love this heater!

This heater is great if you’re right in front of it. I bought this to use during my rotations in the field. We stay in small wooden structures without windows and a magnetic door ( smaller than a small office or bedroom. This heater doesn’t seem to make the slightest of difference. I’ve bought 25$ heaters n the past that were far more effective. I’d shop around more before buying this one. Also it gives off a false image of giving off more heat than it actually does the pictures are slightly misleading.

Heats up instantly and my cats love huddling in front of it (the light in the pic isn’t coming from the heater). all of the functions work really well 10/10

UPDATE: timer stopped working after a few weeks but everything else is fine

I bought this for my living room because my apartment can get very cold but found that unless its placed in a completely enclosed room or is inches away from you you cannot feel the heat very well.

For something that's going to use a lot of power you would assume it would make an open room at least warm but unfortunately it didn't get warm enough for me.

I will say that it does feel safe and has a wide but sensible variety of features.

It is a bit tall as well but probably can fit in most places.

I would maybe look at some other options before purchasing this.

My body has terrible temperature regulation and I have a small room with large windows that dont have alot of protection from the outside temperatures. I needed something that would heat up my room fast, efficiently, and heat the entire room rather than just a corner. Im also a safety nut who is afraid of fire so I spent weeks looking for the perfect one. I didnt want a radiator because I have pets and a nephew and I wanted to make sure that they cant burn themselves on accident as well. This is perfect for me because not only does it heat my entire room but its small enough to put up on top of safe furniture and it cools off very fast after shut down. Im also very pleased that it has tip over protection. I didnt expect it to come with a remote, so im very excited that I wont have to get up and turn it on when I get hot and cold. I have been using for about 2 weeks now and so far this has been an awesome item and im very happy with it. I will report back with any problems that arise

Edit, Oct 19 2022: Sooo, I still like it. Buut... unfortunately its been clicking alot and is making every light in my room flicker every time it clicks. I suppose it could be my own wiring, but this house is newer so I doubt it. It didnt do all this clicking and flickering at first, so im a bit concerned here. It also now seems to wait until the room gets cold again before it clicks on, kinda wish it would just keep the room at a level temperature but maybe im just being picky? Idk.

Edit Jan 28, 2023: The clicking has lessened although my lights do still flicker sometimes but im starting to think its just my cheap house wiring after all. Nothing bad to say still! I will say it started making a whirring sound with the circulation on for a while but I turned off circulation for a few weeks, turned it back on again and it stopped whirring. Im sure its just the moving gears. This thing packs a punch though! Its been keeping me very warm throughout the winter and we've had 3 bad snow storms so far. Next week will be the real test, single digits and negative temps incoming. I will come back after winter is over and update again. Also, my room gets so warm the rest of the house now feels cold lol. Im very thankful I wont have to worry about being cold anymore while I relax in the winter. Im so glad its lasting as well. Thank you Dreo for making quality objects!

Feb 2025 update: Heater is still going strong. No complaints. However, do not run your heater and your hair dryer at the same time😅🤣. That is all. I recommend it to everyone

Let me start off by saying I returned 3 heaters before I researched and ordered this one. So Im really picky about my heaters.
That said, now I am the proud owner of a Dreo Slim Quiet Ceramic Space HeaterItem model number DR-HSH003. It is one of the best space heaters that I have ever owned.
The Dreo heats my room super fast. Once it reaches the set temperature it turns off. The temperature drops, it turns on again. It's sleek and attractive. It has multiple functions and is quiet. It's small and easily portable. Three modes, High, Low, and Eco. Has a remote. A mute button on the remote to mute the beep. Touch controls on the top of the unit. Tip: don't press them hard, they are not buttons. They are quite sensitive. I lightly hover my finger over them, and they work better and faster.
If you read the three, two and ones. most dont know how to operate the unit. Either they didnt read the instruction or are eletronically challenged. Glad I didnt listen and bought it anyway.
I have zero complaints and only 100% praise for this unit. Get one, youll be glad you did.

This lil puppy is awesome. Good heat output, warms my 8' x 11' bedroom in under a minute. The fan isn't extremely powerful so you can't feel hot air blasting from it like a rocket, which tricked me into thinking it was weak. Nope, plenty of heat output especially for a bedroom or office. Even eco mode keeps my room warm during negative-degree Wisconsin winter nights, and my house does not have the best insulation.

The controls are incredible too, the remote is pretty tactile so once I got used to where the buttons are I could adjust this bad boy from my bed in the dark without a hitch. One of the most satisfying Amazon purchases I've made.

Side note: some people have complained about a smell. The only smell I've noticed is the same smell most heaters have when you first turn them on, my best way to describe it is "toasted dusty air". It goes away in seconds or else I've gotten used to it. Either way I haven't smelled a gross melted plastic or anything like that.

Put a little pressure on the On/Off button. Pretty good heat. May automatically turn off after 24 hrs, but I haven't run it that long. Remote is great, even from an angle.

Here I got two 16 inches height heaters - push button heater by Lasko, and touch control heater by Dreo. These are also two types commonly sold in space heaters. Both of the two heaters do a good job in my house and heat quickly with 1500 watts of warmth. But which one is more suitable for young couples like us?
CONVENIENCE:
If your heater is not just for near-table use, make sure to choose one with a remote. The Dreo's comes with a remote control which is full-function and easy to use, so it is less time-consuming to heat up. No more bending down to change controls.
LOOKS:
The Lasko design is getting a bit old as far as I can see. The Dreo is updated and meets the demand of some young couples like us. Its black & golden finish makes this unit look really modern and slender for placement in the home décor. Our main living room is a bit retro style, but it fits into the room just right! It does not require much of a dedicated space and can be placed in a safe corner in the room. We use it in the living room watching our favorite show to keep the place warm, and once we are done, we move it back to the bedroom. Sometimes my dog likes to sit in front of the heater (by our side), the quiet warm wind makes him drowsy on cold days.
NOISE:
Both are quiet at all fan speeds, not like other heating units that are so loud that they keep you up all night! Generally, the fan in the heaters makes a humming noise throughout. But I would say this Dreo heater is one of the quietest heaters I ever used.
THERMOSTAT:
The Lasko has 3 heat settings: high heat, low heat, or fan only, and 12 temperature settings. The Dreo has a high, low, and eco, plus precisely adjustable thermostat from 41 to 95 in 1 increments, You can also set a timer for the heater to automatically turn off if required. The Lasko controls are simple and easy to follow yet it has no extra features other than fan speed. From user experience, dreo’s refined custom control is more suitable for young people who are constantly pursuing the quality of life, while lasko’s overly simple design maybe more suitable for some 80-year-olds to quickly get started.
SAFETY FEATURES:
Both are built-in protection, so you don't have to worry about the protection button worn out. A space heater as small as 16 inches may get knocked down by a curtain, a dog, or some furniture being moved. An overheated device lying on your carpet can result in a fire. This tip-over sensor can greatly prevent fires and burn injuries by turning off the heating element before it becomes damaged or overheats in any way, preventing serious accidents from happening. After I have used them a couple of times, they can really do the job.
MY FINAL THOUGHTS：
Beyond the remote, the Dreo does everything the Lasko can plus more including a timer, a easy-to-read display, and a precise thermostat. Both brands can optionally be set to move side to side. The Dreo costs a little more but for us, it’s easily worth it. If you are looking for a delicate modern design heater that will provide ample heat for your small spaces in a big house, then this Dreo 16 inches space heater is the most definitely one I would recommend checking out. It is straightforward to use and puts out a strong heat output for such a small device while also providing multiple safety features, which can be invaluable if you have kids or pets in your home.
Overall this is a quality space heater for an affordable price. Worth buying!

It is portable and a solution to heat our bedroom during this year winter, it is enough powerful heat which doesn't consume much cost to my electric bill. It does a great job to heat up quickly with 1500W, the ECO mode with the sensor automatically adjust hot air which could reduce our electric bill to a great extent.
The 16" Dreo heater with a remote control is convenient to turn on/off and adjusting heat, it is quiet at all speed levels, acceptable a humming noise throughout.
Overall, it looks chic and is a quality space heater, affordable price for family, office or Christmas gift, worth to buy.

It turns cold recently in Boise, temperature drops below 50 degrees in the morning and evening. I am more sensitive to colder temperatures and need to maintain higher temperatures at home. This ceramic heater puts out way more heat than expected and suits my needs well. Really a lifesaver. Very fast heats up when I need it and makes my 115sqft small room warm in minutes. I place it about 3 feet away from my bed for the heat to rise up to me. Here are some points I could see after some use to make this heater a good option for people like me:)

Ceramic is more reliable for safety. This well constructed, solid heater really impressed me a lot when I just took it out of the package. Pretty attractive with a gold finish around the LED digital display. Thick cord and sturdy plug, multiple auto shut off features like tip over protection are really big deals. Flame retardant material makes it safe against overheating and fire hazards. You won’t have to worry about the heater in the bedroom when you are tidying up the clutter in your basement.

I use this for a balance of efficiency. When it senses the room is at a set temperature, it stops heating, which helps to reduce the waste of heat. The temperature control is pretty accurate. Easy to operate. I can adjust to the desired set whenever the weather changes. We all love the remote feature. The remote sensor is located in front of the unit for me to control the heater easily. It’s really convenient to use, I can easily read the temperature, mode, turn off timer, and other status on the display while I am in bed.

The oscillating feature better helps send warm air throughout the room faster than my old heater bought years ago. I definitely enjoy the uniform heating rather than some spots being much hotter than others. Would recommend this to those who need heaters in bedrooms or offices to cope with the cold instantly!
