I like the smaller brush head too because it allows me to reach the tight places in my mouth between my cheeks.
The brushing modes are easy to switch through, and the vibration strength feels powerful without being too harsh. My teeth feel noticeably cleaner compared to my old manual brush, and the built-in timer helps me brush long enough without thinking about it.
The brush itself is lightweight, comfortable to hold, and looks sleek on the bathroom counter. For the price, it feels like a really good value. If you’re looking for an electric toothbrush with great performance and excellent battery life, this one is definitely worth it.
Say I got this on a lightning deal for about 29 bucks been using it for a week and you can’t beat the value extra toothbrush heads so it’ll be a while until I have to order new ones. Haven’t had the need to charge it since taking it out the box so battery life is proven as someone who brushes twice a day. comes with a pretty awesome travel case for those who travel frequently all in all great product.
Clean: The toothbrush is for daily cleaning. I prefer to use this mode.
Soft: I don't have sensitive gums, so it's only use after I eat the orange or lemon.
White: I don't drink much colored food or beverages, such as coffee and juice, so I don't really use this mode.
Massage: Not sure if this mode is useful.
Vibration
Massage > Clean > White > Soft
Cleaning ability
The spaces between teeth near wisdom teeth are not easy to clean (dental floss is needed). Daily cleaning is sufficient.
Battery durability and charging speed
2 times a day, each time is 4 mins (It will remind every 30 seconds and automatically stop after 2 minutes) and can last for a week (In cleaning mode, the vibration frequency will gradually decrease due to a lack of power). I charged it before sleep and observed that 7 hours was enough.
8 DuPont Brush Heads & Travel Case
The durability of the brush head is good, but I haven't used the travel case yet.
Durability of toothbrush and IPX7
About 4-5 months ago, the toothbrush fell off a flat surface on the side of the sink, and it still worked fine. I didn't notice any issues with the dustproofing, but I did notice an issue with the waterproofing. There are gaps around the buttons (This may cause water to enter the parts). This may be the reason the toothbrush finally stopped working after almost a year of use.
After-sales service
After my toothbrush stopped working, I contacted Amazon Customer Service for help. They helped me contact the seller and let seller send me an email message (I don't receive it). Then I tried to email to Seller (No response). Finally, I go to their website and sent seller a ticket (They did response for me). They are friendly in terms of communication. They gave me a new toothbrush (still with the gaps around the buttons). I thought of covering the gaps with clear tape, hoping that the seller could improve this aspect.
Conclusion:
This is the first real electric toothbrush I've ever purchased. Based on the cleaning performance and durability of the toothbrush, as well as their after-sales service, I'd definitely buy their electric toothbrush again. Hopefully, this replacement toothbrush will last me another 1-2.5 years.
The above review is my personal experience using the electric toothbrush I received, and it is for your reference only.
Price at the time of purchase and review 39.99
Quick Summary: Teeth feel dentist-level clean, but expect to recharge often and stick to the soft mode if you have sensitive gums.
• Cleans exceptionally well – closer to a professional clean than manual brushes.
• Soft mode is best – other settings can feel rough on gums
• Battery runs short – needs recharging after 4 uses
Overall: Great cleaning results, just expect frequent charging.
👇FULL REVIEW:
Cleaning Performance
This toothbrush makes my teeth feel very clean — honestly closer to that “fresh from the dentist” feeling than manual brushes or cheaper electrics. Even plaque-prone spots feel smooth after two minutes.
Settings & Comfort
It comes with multiple brushing modes, but I find most of them a little rough on my gums. The “Soft” setting is the most comfortable for everyday use. If you like a very strong vibration, you might enjoy the other modes more.
Battery Life
This is where it falls short for me. I usually need to recharge after about four uses (roughly two days if brushing twice daily), which feels short compared to other brands I’ve tried. Not a dealbreaker, but worth knowing if you want something that holds a charge longer.
Timer Feature
Every 30 seconds it pauses briefly — I believe this is a built-in timer to remind you to move to the next quadrant of your mouth. It’s a little surprising at first but actually useful once you get used to it.
Value
For the price, the cleaning power is impressive, and it comes with multiple brush heads which helps the value. If battery life isn’t your top concern, it’s a very effective toothbrush for achieving a thorough clean.
Final Verdict: If your priority is truly clean teeth, this brush delivers. Just plan to recharge more often and stick with soft mode if your gums are sensitive.
Then you turn it on. Instead of a powerful clean, it hums like a little gnat and the tiny brush head makes for a slow and unsatisfying scrub. My teeth never get that squeaky-smooth feeling I expect. Honestly, it feels more like a child’s toothbrush dressed up for adults.
I’ll keep it as a travel brush, but for everyday use I’m sticking with my tried-and-true name brand.
This is the best toothbrush ever!!
My teeth feel super clean after brushing
- I contacted support and they solved my problem! It is very important when a client is helped! I return 5 stars for this!
One of the toothbrushes also broke during its first use. At this point, it seems fair to say there is a quality issue
Overall, it's a good product, but there are two areas that need improvement.
First, the distance between the handle and the brush head should be shorter. The on/off switch tends to get pressed while using the toothbrush.
Second, the neck of the toothbrush is weak. As shown in the photo, it can break.
Seriously. I wish I had bought this so much sooner. It comes with SO MUCH STUFF.
* 8 brush heads
* A nice carrying case that can hold the base AND 2 brush heads
* The wireless charger
All boxed up with maximum efficiency. No space is wasted whatsoever and it still feels like a premium product.
The toothbrush itself is very ergonomic and easy to handle. It's made of a sort of matte plastic material and feels nice to hold. It comes with four brush modes, which I've more or less done the research on for you here:
* Clean: for general cleaning. 2 minutes, it buzzes every 30 seconds to let you know to move onto the next region of your mouth
* Soft: for those with sensitive teeth and guns
* Whiten: the strongest mode, good for cleaning all that gunk out of your teeth if you've had a lot of coffee or other food that stains your teeth.
* Massage: for your gums, which apparently need brushing too.
Brushing your teeth just feels different with this too. it's not too harsh, unlike some other automatic toothbrushes I've used in the past. The way the brush heads are designed makes it very easy to get to those hard-to-reach places at the back of your mouth too. And best of all, the charger is magnetic and the base lights up when charging—something my last electric toothbrush woefully lacked. Overall, very happy with my purchase. Hoping to turn my dental hygiene around and get into a good habit with this.
2. It offer you 8 brushed heads, but there is only one that is worth the money as shown. The other 7 are regular small ones.
3. Power, you will experience only about 85-90% of brushing power.
4. Price, Sams offer better phillips toothbrush but it costs around $65 per set with only 2 brushed heads.
Anyway, I think this is a good product but if you can afford Phillips, then you can buy if you need more power and more brushing surfaces, not more than 5 mm2. My Phillips broke after about 4 years.
It works great! Has all the same features as the 4x priced one, and it comes with 8 heads! that would have an additional cost of fifty bucks.
Since I had just switched the head on the old one and thought, I hate to waste these expensive heads so what the heck, let me try this, and it fit! I now have enough heads to last me for a few years. I saw a few reviews saying the vibration was too aggressive but after 10 years of using an electric brush, it seemed normal to me.
Very impressed what aquasonic has put out here, it's almost like it's a clone. I'll take it.
However, I thought the battery was damaged at first as the package had an oily film at the bottom. I washed it out of curiosity after removing the items. It leathered kinda like soap. Bottom line, Amazon or the seller — whoever handled the packaging part — should have been more careful.
Functionality is a the key. Once you press on it begins to do its thing. I say that because each setting has its own unique function. I love the grip on the toothbrush as well. My $200 toothbrush would constantly slip out of my hand.
Just get the toothbrush. Oh I forgot to mention it comes with 8 toothbrush heads.
I like that it came with the charger and 8 additional heads. Now, I have plenty of months to use this toothbrush before ordering more heads.
The bristles are soft-medium. The toothbrush is easy to use. There is the on/off button and another biutton to change the modes.
It has a sleek look with soft material and has good quality. My teeth feel so clean and smooth after every use and my gums feel good too after using the massage mode.
I am very happy with this product and recommend it.
Pro: The style and the look is perfect. Easy to use, not bulky, barely takes up any space. The bristles are soft you barely feel it but I will tell it does the job like you came out the dental office. Came with four replacement toothbrush heads as stated and two in the travel carry case total of six. Charges pretty fast and holds its charge very well. I like that it cuts out ever 30 seconds allowing motor cool down for a good 2 to 5 seconds but not even sure if its supposed to do that just seems like it is.
Con: Hate to say this because I want to say nothing but good about this cool gadget. It has four settings to use: Clean, Soft, Whitening, and Massage. Besides massage, no matter what setting you put, the brush is violent as if it is attacking you. Not only will you be cleaning your teeth but after you are done you will have to clean the area you are in and the mirror thats how bad it is. Again, hate to say this but the whole kit is so cheaply made that if you drop it its over the machine will be done for. The travel carry case is cheap if you forget you have it in a bag and lean on it that also will easily break. The only thing out of the system that seems solid is the charging station.
Would I recommend this machine? I'm stuck in between because the poor quality and the settings. It gets the job done perfectly but durability, it might not last long and would have to buy another one starts to become an expensive than an investment. If you are on a tight budget best to get the Oral-B basic toothbrush and it works perfect. But if you have spare money to go a little higher than that yeah get this one. If you have a bigger budget best to invest in the Oral-B higher end toothbrushes those machines are elite. Thats the best I could say on recommending this machine.
I repurchased August 2024 because I liked the product and hoped it would last longer this time. Now,October 17, 2024, it isn't working. Idk what's wrong with the 2 I got because I'm not getting this long time that the other reviewers talk about.
The first one came apart in my mouth after two weeks of use. The second brush already has a crack after two days of use. I hope that the company will address this issue otherwise I am very happy with the cleaning the device provides.
I also really liked the extra stuff it came with. You get enough brush heads to last two years, a travel case, and a wireless charger, which is pretty cool.
Overall, this toothbrush is awesome. If you're thinking about switching to an electric toothbrush, just remember it might take a little time to get used to the new way of brushing, but it's totally worth it. Your teeth will end up feeling way cleaner.
Edit: after about 10 months of use, replacement heads don’t want to stay on anymore. Was great while it lasted.
I was in the middle of brushing my teeth when I suddenly felt it break. It was a weird few seconds because I wasn't sure what happened, but all of the sudden, I have a bunch of loose bristles all over my mouth and in my throat making me gag and almost throw up. I almost swallowed the part of the head that broke off but it fortunately came up when I was gagging.
Not a fun experience. Imagine all of these bristles floating around your mouth and stuck in your throat.
I'm hoping this was a fluke. If it happens again, I'll be switching to a different brand.
I love that it’s rechargeable and holds a charge for quite a long time, I’m talking weeks at a time. The charger itself takes up very little counter space, so if you’re like me, and you have a tiny Bathroom then you’re in luck. But I actually don’t even keep my charger in the bathroom since I don’t need to use it that often.
I also love the travel case and the number of replacement brush heads that are included.
I’ve noticed a huge difference in how much cleaner and whiter my teeth look and feel. There was a bit of a learning curve in terms of maneuverability. I found that I had some trouble with hitting my teeth with the hard plastic part of the toothbrush whenever I tried to switch to a different area of my mouth.
Another downside is that I’m not able to brush my tongue as well as I would like, so I do still keep a manual toothbrush on hand for that purpose.
Overall, I definitely recommend this toothbrush and will continue purchasing replacement brush heads for myself :)
My mouth feels incredible after brushing, to be completely honest, I brush MORE now that I have this. I have never felt this good after brushing, my wife said the same thing.
I've owned lots of brushes, from the very simplistic $30 powered brushes, to the top (Oralb/Sonicar) brushes $150+
These caught my eye as I was shopping for replacement brush heads. It looked great, the price was amazing! The features and specs looked good too. My wife already had a "favorite" but I asked her to give it a try. Now, BOTH of us hooked.
Out of the box it's a very good looking, quality built device. It came with a TON of replacement brush heads, (I think 8)
It has a sleek case for storage/travel, looks very similar to the new SonicCare case.
The brush? I charged it the 1st day and it's still going a month later. I use a full brushing cycle (2 min), 2-3 times a day. The battery is great.
The features, it has four brush modes.
Regular, Soft, Whiten, Massage.
I had to use it on Soft for a few days to get used to the sonic feel of this brush, it's not uncomfortable, but it's very effective. Now I love using the Massage and Whiten modes.
The brushing modes all use a two- minute timed cycle. It will vibrate every 30-seconds to alert you to change quadrants.
The ONLY thing I would change is the timed mode resets if you stop it. Some other brushes will pause the timer when you hit the button, but really I don't mind.
I haven't encountered a better sonic or powered toothbrush. And this one is about 1/6th of the price of the ones it beats.
I did not expect to like it this much, I was really just curious if this thing was as good as it looks. ITS BETTER.
One of the standout features of this toothbrush is its ultra-powerful motor, producing an impressive 40,000 vibrations per minute. This ensures a thorough and effective cleaning for a sparkling smile. The lithium-ion battery and ultra-fast wireless charging make it convenient to keep the toothbrush ready for use at all times.
The Black Series offers 4 different brushing modes, allowing you to customize your brushing experience based on your specific oral care needs. It also features smart vibration timers that help you achieve the recommended brushing time for each quadrant of your mouth.
I was pleased to learn that the Black Series has earned the seal of approval from the American Dental Association (ADA) Council on Scientific Affairs. This recognition is a testament to its efficacy in plaque removal and its contribution to gum health. It goes beyond mere teeth cleaning by offering a whitening and polishing mode for enhancing the appearance of your teeth.
With the AquaSonic Black Series, you get more than just a toothbrush. The package includes 8 DuPont engineered brush heads that last for 3-4 months each, providing you with a generous supply that will last for about 2.5 years. Additionally, the toothbrush comes with a custom hard shell travel case, perfect for on-the-go convenience.
This one was at least affordable, comes with a nice little carrying case, charger, plenty of extra brushes and has a soft setting so it's not so overwhelming. The brushes are small like a kid size instead of full adult size which is nice.
There's a sensor that vibrates if you push down too hard, that I like since I hold the brush to brush my son's teeth. It pauses briefly to let you know when to move to another section while brushing.
Having sensory issues this brush is a lot to get used to for me and my son. The tingly/ tickling feeling on my lips, cheeks and mouth is overwhelming. My son doesn't like it either but we're committed to try and make this work. It's hard cleaning my son's teeth with a standard toothbrush and I worry it's not getting them clean enough. I have suffered my whole life with bad teeth and many years ago after trying a sonic toothbrush many of those problems went away (bleeding gums, new cavities). I don't want my son to ever suffer like I have so this is only one step I've taken towards helping him. I also have the xylitol orange baby toothpaste to remineralize and the xylitol mouth spray to prevent dry mouth and cavities. Do your research! That is my advice. There are so many options available now that were not 30 years ago.
Overall I'm happy with this toothbrush and hope to update in the future that we've both become used to using this and that it is keeping my son's teeth clean and healthy.
1. It is lightweight, unlike the Sonicare, which has more heft.
2. it does not have a flat surface anywhere on it. Why is this important? When I set it down on my counter to apply toothpaste to the brush, it rolls. I will have to put a rubber band on the handle to stop it from rolling.
3. It does not come with a cap. Sonicare brush heads all come with caps. I put an empty floss container on it to protect the brush head (see photo)
4. For brushing, it seems fine. The brush head is smaller than the Sonicare, though.
I wasn’t interested in spending another $200 for maybe another year. That’s around $16 a month for nothing special in terms of quality. I was pleasantly surprised by the Aquasonic! I’m at a year now and I have had zero problems. It still works and looks like day one! I went into this thinking I could by one ever few months and still be below the price of a Sonicare, however I have far surpassed that. One thing I did miss at first is the pressure sensor on sonicare, however I rarely triggered it and unless you really really need a reminder to not brush hard I don’t think you will either. Also who need brushing statistics.. for a maybe a day that’s neat to see, after that it’s useless. Brush and floss! Just do the job!
A couple of tips with aquasonic or even sonicare:
I did see an image of someone’s that melted while charging, which made me very nervous. Not sure if that was related to moister or a wiring issue, however I make sure to always rinse the brush (not into the charging port) and then towel it off before putting it on the stand. I also only charge when needed, which seems like every couple weeks or so. Wiping it off also helps to keep the stand and the brush clean, as well as to avoid any issues with water when charging. If you know you’re going to charge it that day, maybe be extra cautious about water near the bottom charging port and it should be just fine.
The other thing that may bother some clean freaks (me) is the area under the removable brush and the buttons. To help keep these areas clean use your old brush when replacing and scrub off any build up with some toothpaste or soap. Then put your new brush on. The buttons (if you have a black version) are a little harder to make look clean. If the brush doesn’t get it all try using a toothpick or small paper clip to just go around the recessed button areas with some water and scrap build up out. I do this every time I replace the brush so it’s by no means an annoyance. It keeps the brush looking brand new. That attached image is cleaning the buttons with only the old brush before replacing, for reference of what I could clean just doing that.
My conclusion, this brush far exceeded my expectations. The price savings is WELL worth it considering it requires the same care/maintenance, yet it's quality is surpassing Sonicare for a fraction of the price!
3 YEAR UPDATE: I'm now at over 3 years with this toothbrush and it still looks and works like new. I use it in the shower, rinse it underwater after every use, and use it 2-3 times a day. The only thing that is maybe suffering at this point is the battery (lasts about 1.5 weeks now), but I also only charge it when the red charging light comes on. If you leave it on the charger stand daily this may never be an issue for you. This is truly a great product for the price and I would recommend it to anyone. I had originally felt that if it lasted as long as my sonicare it would save me some money, but at this point it has surpassed my sonicare by 2+ years for a fraction of the price! You can see I purchased it in 2021 and it's now later 2024. I hope this helps you with your choice of what brush to get and that your experience is as good or better than mine.
So who did I give it a subpar rating? Well.. the pictures speak for themselves. Not even two weeks later, the power button is dislodged from its position. It still works, especially after staying in place for nearly two months, but it leaves me to question the durability of this toothbrush. Was it that I received a faulty one, poor craftsmanship on the solvent that is meant to keep it in place? Or was it just some water manage to wash it away at a certain angle? As far that I know, I’m coined to be skeptical in the long run for the price that I paid for it.
Update: 06/01 i had contacted the seller and they shipped over a new battery at no extra cost and its working great! The customer service is great and I do hope this battery lasts longer than the last one.
Brush heads: The kit is great value with 8 brushes and a very nice travel case included. The brushes are just right in terms of size and also in the hardness of the bristles, not too soft and not too hard, just right.
Gripes: One small gripe is that the fake chrome finish at the top of the actual body and the bottom of each brush head has come off very quickly, leaving me thinking "where has that gone, hopefully not down my throat!". I would have shaved off a half star for this issue if that was an option while rating in Amazon.
Settings: The unit has several different settings which are interesting to experiment with.
Battery: The battery is thus far pretty amazing, only needs charging about every two weeks with two users.
Also really like the timer feature which assigns 30 seconds to each "segment" of the mouth, the manual recommends two upper and two lower quadrants and this ensures that you clean your teeth evenly I assume.
Summary: Have to say that at least after two months of use, I would not be happy returning to the Braun unit, this is superior and will be very interested to see if my dentist notices any difference at my next scheduled cleaning. If you have either never had an electric toothbrush or like me have always used Braun, I would highly recommend this Aquasonic kit.
This toothbrush arrived very quickly with Prime. My outer box, inner box, items and paperwork were almost pristine condition. Part of the plastic try that held the parts had cracked. To be fair, the plastic on the inside is a flimsy thin plastic.
I unboxed each piece and read through the manual. I plugged/ charged it on 8/9 for the 24 hours mentioned in the directions, and to date, (9/5), I haven't recharged it yet! Almost a full month on one charge! I haven't seen any changes in performance either!
This toothbrush is waterproof, so you can take it into the shower to brush your teeth! I thought this was a cool tidbit. I tried to use it in the shower, but just couldn't get myself to change my morning routine to remember to grab it before entering shower.
Now for the part that most care about... how did it work? I love it! Reminds me of the polisher that the dentist office uses. It did take a couple uses to acclimate myself to this style of brushing. You won't need to force the brushing. Let the toothbrush do what it is designed to do! Try not to use it like a normal brush, meaning moving it back and forth quickly. It should be Move slowly, allowing the bristles to go over each tooth/ gum. Similar to the dentist office cleaning. My teeth fell great and some of the tartar build up is breaking down after a week of using it. I can't speak to the whitening function yet. Since I haven't given it a fair chance. I will say, I am very religious about rinsing the toothbrush, and drying it with a towel before placing it back on the unplugged charging station. I left it unplugged, after the initial 24 hour charge, so I could fairly assess how long one charge is. So that when I travel, I can determine if I won't need to bring the base.
Don't look any further if your trying to decide on an electric toothbrush! The travel kit is awesome and very sturdy. There's 8 brush heads, to be used over 2 years. This is a great buy and I would buy for any of my family members! So what are you waiting for? Add to cart so you can start using it!
Is included on the box warning. If that is no concern of yours than it would be a great toothbrush to use. If you want children or pregnant I would do some more research.
Nowhere on the packaging, or in the included printed literature / instructions, is there even a single reference to the company being in the USA. There isn't even any warranty or service information.
The closest thing to a USA reference is, however, a California notice on the packaging: "! WARNING Reproductive Harm www (dot) P65Warnings (dot) ca (dot) gov" .
Don't be misled by the ad description's reference to "Based in" US. That's just referring to the company which happens to distribute it here. Some web searching shows this brush is made by one Chinese manufacturer and sold worldwide by a variety of companies.
But for $26, I didn't expect anything else. If it lasts a year or two, I will have gotten my money's worth.
However, both the top of the toothbrush, and the bottom of the heads seem to have this faux-silver coating on them, which wears off quite quickly. One picture here is of the toothbrush itself, which has worn away after only a month of use. The head also degraded and while that could be a good sign to throw it out and swap it in, if a piece of that wound up in your mouth while brushing, it wouldn't be great. If they come out with a model similar to this but just with those pieces that don't degrade, I'd upgrade.
First off, the toothbrush looks super nice - I love the matte black and the material of the handle feels like velvet. It also feels like it was ergonomically designed for your hand. The design, all around, is wonderful. I also like the small toothbrush heads and the mechanic of snapping the heads into the handle is very satisfying.
Super minimal design for the charging base as well. A green light pops on at the bottom of the toothbrush for about 3 seconds to let you know it's charged and the light is red while it's charing. Once it's fully charged no lights are displayed.
Two buttons - on/off and mode. You filter through the 4 settings with the mode button and they light up while in use. All the settings are nice. You feel like it's actually cleaning/strengthen your gums. The speed is perfect, doesn't feel to strong and it doesn't hurt your gums.
While you're brushing the vibration will stop every 30 seconds to let you know to move to another row of teeth. The toothbrush auto shuts off after 2 minutes. But you can turn it back on if you want to brush longer. These timing cues are super helpful.
If you brush your teeth everyday, you'll definitely notice a difference in how white your teeth are after using this for a few weeks. I brush my teeth twice a day and they're much whiter now than they were when I was usually a manual brush the same amount.
It comes with a cool traveling case and 8 heads. It says that 8 heads will last two years - but that really depends on how often you brush IMO.
Overall, it's a wonderful product. It's minimal and simply does what it's suppose to very well.
Fabulous to have 8 brush heads, especially as they are soooo expensive to purchase.
A very Light weight toothbrush, so light I forgot I was holding it!
Black Matt. Very nice.
3 brushing options, All very comfortable to use. My teeth feel so lovely and clean.
Upon arrival My only concern was the size of the toothbrush head, which is much smaller than I had expected and the head shape did not assure me that I was going to achieve full brush coverage of my mouth. However don’t be deceived by the size...upon using the brush.. an extra 10 seconds my mouth felt beautifully clean and fresh.
I really liked the interim buzz letting me know when to move onto the next quadrant.
I really enjoy brushing
The design is simple and clean,
The packaging feels a little inferior but does the job!
I had previously purchased a Oral B 5000, this was much more expensive and truly didn’t provide a better brush.
Trust me oral B and all the other big brands.. watch out.. this brush is a steal for the price, the complete package inclusive of 8 yes 8 in total brush heads.
I shall be holding onto this toothbrush and recommending to others.
Expect another review updating all on battery life and charging time.
Lastly I was so very pleased to read that Acquasonic are a family run business.
Wishing them much ongoing success.
