Roku Streaming Stick 4K – HDR & Dolby Vision Roku Streaming Device for TV with Voice Remote & Long-Range Wi-Fi – Free & Live TV

Bought this for my theater room and it works great. I had to change something of the settings for my type of equipment but it worked great, definitely happy with it.

I’ve been a Fire TV user for a long time. My original Fire TV Stick was purchased in November 2018 and has been rock solid for years. When the Fire TV OS on my TV failed the other day, my instinct was simple: buy another Fire Stick. Brand loyalty, right?

So I did. And honestly, the new Fire Stick itself is fantastic, picture and sound are excellent after a few settings tweaks. Five stars for the hardware.

But then reality hit.

To switch between HDMI inputs I still needed:

The original Amazon remote for the TV input menu

The new Amazon remote for streaming

The Spectrum remote for the cable box

Three remotes.
And the Fire remote can’t program the Home button to jump between Fire TV instances, so the input mess never goes away.

That’s when I tried Roku.

Game changer.

Spectrum is available as a Roku app, so I was able to:

Eliminate the Spectrum set-top box

Eliminate the Spectrum remote

Eliminate the HDMI input juggling entirely

One Roku remote. One clean setup. One screen.
The Fire TV now boots to the last used input automatically, so I put that remote in a drawer and haven’t touched it since.

Yes, I still had to tweak picture and sound settings (why does “auto” never just work?), but once dialed in it looks and sounds fantastic.

For the first time since 2018, I’m using ONE remote.

Roku didn’t just replace a device, it fixed a design problem that Fire TV never solved.
If you’re tired of remote clutter, HDMI gymnastics, and half-working “smart” integrations, this is the fix.

The streaming stick on one of my orders broke. The HDMI plug-in on the stick came apart. I cannot find an option on returns to just send a new stick. I don't want a refund I just want the stick replaced. Photo is attached. The other two sticks I ordered from you are fine

Since I received my remote control and cable set, it's been really good, because it has many applications already included and I didn't have to buy another television thanks to this cable. Very good, I recommend it.

I am looking to get rid on my expensive cable provider, there was one channel I watch that didn't have an app that I could watch it on. I did some research an found out I could watch it on the Roku Streaming Stick 4K - HDR & Dolby Vision Roku Streaming Device for TV with Voice Remote & Long-Range Wi-Fi. I purchased it, a few days later it was delivered and my son who is much more tech savvy than I am installed it on my TV. I found the channel I wanted on the Roku streaming device and am very happy, I can now cancel my cable provider. I am completely satisfied with this purchase and will purchase 2 more for my other TV's.

The Roku Streaming Stick 4K is a great way to cut the cable, and ordering from Amazon is much more efficient than ordering directly from the Roku website, 24 Hour Delivery from Amazon versus 5 to 7 Day Delivery from Roku.

I bought the Roku Streaming Stick for my girlfriend, and the funny thing is, I used a different streamer for years. Mine is still good, but I’d say if you’re not really technically savvy, this is perfect for you. It does it all, in a really easy, unbelievable way. The options are endless, but easy to navigate to. It was fairly easy to set up once you get past the initial set up waiting for software download and apps to update! The only bump I hit was when it was trying to pair the remote with the projector I just had to go to where it played the sound and it asks if you still hear and of course it kept playing and after hitting continue until it finally got to try again later then I pushed that and it went to the Home Screen after that. I have only had it about a week but every time I start it it pops up fairly quickly on the Home Screen as you will see in the video

We had an older Mitsu 65 inch non smart tv. Plugged in the Roku stick and it works great-Improved the clarity of the picture. This is outside at our Tikibar. Connected to our YouTube tv as well. Great deal.

Step by step easy installation. Streamed smoothly without buffering and pixelating. Especially like the new remote that allows you to turn TV on and off and adjust volume. Great product at a great price.

I bought my first Roku stick in 2023 from Amazon. I liked it so much that in 2024 I bought three more to use in my home and in our Airbnb. The selection of channels and the easy access to the apps that I commonly use is great. I highly recommend Roku and where I to buy another TV that was not Roku ready I would buy another stick.

A few months ago we lost the remote control for our smart TV, which was almost like giving up, but we decided to buy this Roku Device, and it was the best thing we could do, we have the TV for a long time since we just installed it and with the control it comes we can use it perfectly, turn on, turn off, turn up the volume and see our applications, it is very very easy to use and install, and the price seems very good to me, and if I want to change it to another TV I can also do it, so I am very happy with my purchase! I have used Roku devices since I started streaming several years ago. When the 4K streamer arrived on the scene I updated to it and have gone exclusively to it. I like its ease of connecting and its accuracy in finding the show I like to watch. Since the 4K is wireless I can connect it to my TV in my vacation home when I go there in the winter. It travels well, is small and only requires packing two pieces, the handheld remote and the HDMI cable connector. It does require a WiFi network in order to function but I have had no problem with that in either location. One could do much worse than the Roku 4K streaming device.

Item was shipped overseas. It arrived so quickly. It was packaged well and arrived safely.

Item is currently performing well and it was easy to install.

I will update if there is any changes to the above in the future.

We love Roku in this household! We accidentally broke our old one and immediately ordered another even though we had an extra fire stick lying around! This Roku stick is great and the options on the remote to choose between our top choices (Netflix, Prime, Apple TV, and Hulu) are perfect. No buffering, sound quality is great, easily set up within minutes.. couldn’t be happier!

We are cutting the cord to the cable and going to streaming I have three TVs in the house and only one had a Roku stick. I ordered these yesterday and they were at my door today. Hook up was easy. We have older but perfect working flat screens. This is a easy way to upgrade them to smart tvs without spending thousands of dollars.

I’ve had every firestick you can get, even the latest 4K Max. This Roku 4k stick is hands down a better product all around! Easy set up, streaming is so clear. Best picture of any stick! Sound is top notch! Super fast processor. Apps load quicker than anything I’ve used!

The Roku stick was added to two TVs. One for each. Both have performed flawlessly. The setup was very easy on both TVs which are completely different brands. Easy upgrade for an older model tv with older smart tv tech and non smart TVs. The value also excellent.

I have two Roku TVs and one Roku stick. I really like the stick in the guest room is to use easy to install and it doesn’t need to be on all the time very convenient. I like the Roku products.

Excellent plug and play functionality. Does take an understanding of touch screens to get the picture to fit properly. Recommend using Roku stick. Also recommend setting up your Roku stick on a computer monitor or tv screen before using in your vehicle

Had one TV that wasn't a smart TV and when I got rid of cable, it was useless. Plugged in this Roku stick and it is just as good as my other TVs. Easy to set up. Great streaming. Lots of channels. Not very big. Great remote. I would recommend it.

Really fast streaming stick that was quick and easy to setup. I run Plex on a server and use these sticks in place of a set top box. They work really well. The attached photo was the way I received it from Amazon. I didn't think it was going to work but luckily it wasn't damaged.

Very easy to install and program. It only took me maybe 5 mins to program. Works great if you already have WiFi. It will connect right to your existing account and then just install apps and put in your user name and password and your good to go.

I purchased this over a year ago at this point, but I needed to come rave about it on here really quick. I was thinking about how spoiled I am that it never goes out, shuts off, lags, or anything of that sort. I had been previously using a different brand (if you know, you know) and MY GOODNESS was that thing lagging. Watching TV was a hassle because it was always struggling or overheating. So I finally purchased the ROKU and I will never ever look back. I highly recommend because it's efficient, affordable, and easy to set up!

I am beyond happy with Roku. It's is leaps and bounds ahead of the Fire UI, especially for only $35. Minimal ads in unobstructive places. All my apps in one place when I click the home button. The home button also turns on the TV and switches the TV input to the Roku. Streams in gorgeous 4k. Quick and reliable button interactions. The remote battery last forever - batteries over the rechargeable. My only gripe is that this version doesn't let me connect my Bluetooth earbuds for late-night listening. I also have the Ultra, which I highly recommend. However, it's price point is a big deterrent.

Roku Stick is self explanatory, very easy to use, remote control comes with a tiny plastic tab to keep batteries from making connection, easy to remove to use remote. Streaming is great for the distance between our wireless router and our bedroom, tv loads fast as soon as it is turned on. I got this on Prime deal days and it was a great value for the price paid. Does not heat up. Overall, very happy with my purchase and recommend this product. You just need wifi and an hdmi port on the back of your tv. My tv is a little older...a Visio tv, but has 2 hdmi ports. It works perfect!!

No dislikes at all. The Roku stick is simple to set up and begin using. The stick takes up less room than a Roku box and seems to have the same amount of memory. Because it is 4K, the picture is awesome.
I installed it on the back of a Toshiba TV with Fire TV built in, but the Fire TV, for some strange reason, did not have MAX in their App Store. Thus, the Roku stick that had all the apps I was looking for.

So my English Bulldog got a hold of the remote…and it still works! He ate 7 of the FireTV remotes and non of them worked. Roku is so much better. I don’t think it has crashed on us once, and each app (Hulu, Netflix, etc) works perfectly as opposed to FireTV. It is a no brainer.

I bought this Roku stick as a replacement for my old one that was constantly buffering. This one is much faster and streams flawlessly. After digging into the TV settings I was able to sync it with the Roku remote. I like that you do not need to point it at the sensor for it to work. It does require a USB connection for power. My only complaint is it advertises too much and thinks it knows what you want to watch. It took me about an hour to turn off most of those settings.

We love Roku, we have 2 Roku tvs already and our son (6yr) had an Amazon fire stick on his non-smart tv. The fire stick always advertised stuff that isn’t specifically kid friendly and there’s no way to fully kid proof it. And when they do advertise kids shows/movies, it’s something you have to pay for, luckily I had the passcode set up for purchases. Well we got this Roku for him and now we all love it. It’s so much easier for him to navigate and he loved picking out his theme pack! It probably took all of 2 minutes to set it up. 10/10 would buy again

This Roku device can bring an older flat screen back to life. It connected easy to my tv allowing the volume and power to work as well as stopped all glitching and pausing that the old device used to have. This kept us from buying a new tv saving us so much money. 5 + stars.

At first, I was skeptical if this ROKU streaming stick 4k will work with my 12 year old Samsung Smart TV, I’m glad I took a chance and it made my TV like brand new!! Picture quality is SUPERB. Came in good perfect condition, Fast powerful streaming, It has voice search and controls, ease of use, Value for money. Btw, I live in the Caribbean and it still works! Will recommend!

This Roku device is wonderful, my TV was smart but it was very slow, I just bought this and it started to work much better and faster, not to mention the quality of the image that improved a lot. Wonderful, I bought two, one for each of my children's rooms.

I was disappointed when I bought an LG TV when it did not support the Criterion Channel. I also missed the user interface from my old Roku TV. This device solved my problem and simplified things. I plugged the stick into an HDMI input on the TV and got it's power via the USB jack on the TV, Logging into the Roku brought all my channels without having to reenter passwords for them all.

Roku has been around for awhile, and the product just keeps getting better and better.

Even if you don’t have a 4k tv now. If you can afford this one you might as well get it for the future.
Also you can get a free extension for the hdmi. You might as well order one for the same reason. (A different tv). Info on that is in the instructions

I wasn’t sure if the Roku would work for me especially at just $49.99. I thought for that price it would be lacking something. But it’s perfect! I bought it to stream with my projector and I love it!! It’s small, easy to set up, and it works exactly like my Roku TV. You can program the remote to control your tv depending too. I think this would make the perfect gift.

Though setup was a pain because of the flipphone-like data entry. Initially, it wouldn't pair with an unknown TV brand. I paired it then with a known brand, and it worked! Switching back to the unknown brand, it now works there too. I cut the cable years ago. I now have a wide selection of free shows/movies to watch!

Update 12.28.23: I was waiting for this to be on sale again at $29.99 so I could buy more to connect to my other TV's. So far, not happening. Then I thought why not connect my 1 Roku to my HDMI splitter that connects to my 4 TV's. My computer is already connected to the 4 TV's via the HDMI splitter and it's working for me. So, I removed the computer HDMI, and in place the Roku HDMI. It works! I can now watch from any of my TV's. Though I need to first individually pair each TV with the Roku.

I'm a happy camper. 😊

Update 1.1.24: I also got a switch that's plugged to the splitter. I then plugged the Roku and computer HDMI's to the switch. So, whenever, I can choose which one to use.

Great streaming stick. Has everything I could need for entertainment including YouTube access. A great amount of wallpapers and screensavers included, and every service you could think of. Its appearance is barely noticeable and quite small when hooked up. It feels well built and was very easy to setup. I did have some trouble pairing the remote initially as it wouldn’t connect but I simply factory reset the device and it paired fine after that. The voice on the remote is nice to use and seems to recognize what I say easily. Overall it’s a great product if you like to have all your entertainment in one place. The 4k is great as well. I would recommend this product. Included is a video of the device running 4k over YouTube. It looks amazing. The device has never overheated and seems to be quite stable.

I use this on an older tv to stream all my services included my cable I have through YouTubeTV.
I love the Roku app feature also where you can pair your app to tv and use as a remote. Great for when you can’t find the little remote!
The voice recognition feature is also super easy. You can ask the play a specific show and it will search and show you what streaming service it is available on.

Wife and I just took a getaway trip to Denali National Park for a two night stay. We decided to take the Roku streaming stick and we’re astonished at it’s excellent quality. No stalling or skipping and exceptional visual on the screen. The parks WiFi was weak but it didn’t effect the Roku efficiency and there wasn’t a program we couldn’t receive. Remember to bring your passwords to sign-in to Roku and your favorite sites/apps. Enjoy !

I am sooo glad switched from a fire stick to a Roku ( seriously one of the best things I’ve done)!!!

1) if you live in a dorm or any captivated network they make it super easy to connect

2)unlike the fire stick you can add your cable provider ( I addded spectrum)

The 4k quality is really nice.

The only thing I wish was that this could connect to Bluetooth to connect it directly to my speakers but sadly I can’t ( i just have to do an extra step)

And as stated they have tons of channels which fhe fire stick doesn’t

We are strong believers in Roku.

We have had all the streaming devices of the last few years including the fire stick, chrome cast, Apple TV, and even Tvision. Nothing beats the Roku products for the following reasons.

-Ease of use - all your channels in one place, can’t find a channel you like? No problem just mirror your phone to the Roku and stream direct from your phone app.

-easy set up - plug into the HDMI, sign in to the wifi and you are good to go

- Quality - great 4K streaming quality with responsive controls and voice recognition.

My first streaming device which I still have is a Roku XS. This device gave years of excellent usage. I have since switched to the Amazon Fire Stick line up which were more affordable when on sale. However, I decided to try back a Roku device. To my surprise, the interface remains largely unchanged from my 10 year old Roku XS. This is not necessarily a bad thing as it's one of the fastest and easiest to use interfaces around. It could do with some modernization in terms of looks but that is about it. This little streamer supports all the major services and hundred more including the Roku channel which has free movies. The remote is easy to use and the buttons are well placed. You have the option for private listening using the Roku app from your mobile phone as well. It supports WiFi 6, Dolby Vision and HDR10.

The one issue I have with the Fire TV Stick is how much it slows down and becomes sluggish over time. Roku devices do also suffer from this slow down, however it takes a few years before you notice any kind of slowing down. Hopefully this is the same for their current line up. Overall, if you are looking for a great little streamer this 4K stick wont let you down.

Installed in just over 12 minutes, prior to a sports championship broadcast I was aiming for on YouTubeTV. I had been using a Roku Express 4K+ which was purchased a few months ago, but a software/firmware update was pushed out on 10/27/22 which messed up that device, causing a frozen screen image when replaying & fast-forwarding. (this can be researched with Google or at the Roku site). Because a fix has not been issued yet - I decided to replace with this latest 4K Stick. Using my existing Roku login keys and following all the prompts, I was able to quickly install all my existing streaming apps during setup, most of which carried over my app logins intact. This latest Roku stick definitely streams more crisply, without any lag or buffering. The TV now using this stick is a 32" Sony that's about 12 yrs old. It only produces a 1080i max image - so no 4K needed here. Note: I read a review here saying they couldn't sync this device with their soundbar. I would recommend to disconnect soundbar, set up volume control thru TV only - THEN reconnect soundbar. Good luck to all!

I was hesitant about purchasing Roku. I already have a smart tv and it has a lot of apps but missing some that Roku offered so I went for it. So happy I did. There are so many apps and cool stuff on here that I use it all the time. Was very easy to install. I have yet to have any issues. You can photo stream, they have some great background photos plus not to mention they have their own apps for kids and the entire family. Very user friendly to me. I really like the interface a lot also. I literally spent six hours just going through it all and I’m still happening upon.

Don’t mind the photo but as you can see on my 65inch Samsung TV the video looks great. We have no issues with internet or hook up. It’s simple to use and it works great with Alexa especially when I lose the remote lol. And to add, we used to use our Samsung TV app center and it would never work or had connection issues hence me purchasing the ROKU. This has been a game changer and we ended up purchasing one for our daughters room which has a 32inch VIZIO from 15 years ago and even that is perfect. Granted, the VIZIO is behind on SmartTV but it’s okay. It works and it’s great on her TV.

All in all, get it! It’s amazing! And worth the money!

The Bottom Line:
I just set up this new Roku Streaming Stick 4K and watched a movie on Netflix. I set up the streaming stick in less than 5 minutes. It took a little longer to re-log back into all my services like Amazon, Netflix, etc. but that was expected. As for performance, this streaming stick is faster than the previous generation Stick+. There is no lag whatsoever with this new one. The wifi is definitely longer range since I can move the stick to the garage and there is no lag when I move it out there compared to the older streaming stick. The picture is awesome and you can watch 4K without any issues. The remote works well and the voice recognition recognizes my voice well. If you’re wondering what the difference between the 4K streaming stick versus 4K streaming stick+, the only difference is the remote. Overall, I would recommend this new Roku streaming stick 4K for its streaming quality, speed and longer range wifi.
