Not saying it doesn't work, it actually is a good idea!! ..quite frankly, i would use it , if i were a cat , but my cat rolls his eyes and walks away when he sees this mat.

I put catnip on them, because they otherwise had no interest in the mats. I have seven cats. Two of my cats played and rubbed on them, but didn't really scratch on them. Last night I caught them scratching on my door frame and furniture again instead. We'll see how this plays out. I've only had them a week.

I love the idea behind this product, it’s minimal and cheap. My cat is constantly scratching my furniture and walls so i decided to purchase this instead of an overpriced cat tree. The adhesive is great on walls, but will leave a stick ugly residue as well as taking off paint, so i tried it on a wooden piece of furniture and it continues to fall down without me or my cat touching it, which is very frustrating. I wish i could put it somewhere long term but i rent this apartment and i will be fined for damages, so if you have a place to keep this long term then i do recommend this product. The next thing is my cat has 0 interest in it. It’s probably my cat, though she does enjoy tearing things up, but It’s a bit annoying that it doesn't stay up long enough to peak her interest. Anyway, i’ll continue to try it out. But do not put this on your walls unless you want it there for awhile.

The sticky pads that come with don’t work. I nailed in a couple of small nails in places I think the cats won’t be able to scratch or pull them out. They haven’t used it yet.. but I’m hoping they will soon. I’m planning on buying catnip and sprinkling some on the scratch pad and seeing if that works. Or I’ll place it near their cat tree.

We bought one of these and really like it but the second one started unraveling less than 2 months in. Obviously the cats are not doing it or our four would have taken apart the edge by now. It’s really ridiculous that there is no way to get ahold of the company. It’s a defective mat which happens, what really sucks is that I can’t get it replaced by the company. Makes me realize I need to purchase from companies that have transparency and stand behind their products.

It looks great out of the box, but whatever glue / sewing is used to keep them together is designed poorly. As you can see, the fabric is already separating from where is should be adhered too. Probably will last a year or less

I liked that it was delivered quickly and It looked well made. However, whenever l purchase a specific size- l usually take out my measuring tape and take a mental picture of the size. This time, l didn't do that and I went by the 1st picture in the product information. The mat appeared to be a nice size being that l have a cat like the one in the photo. When l received it, l was dissapointed by the actual size. The size is
smaller, more like the 3rd photo in the product information. The measurements they gave were correct but, on the 1st photo the mat shown looks larger. As for durability- l can't really say because l just received it several weeks ago. It does seem sturdy. I do know that it slides on tile and laminate wood floors. The underneath is made of a grey felt like material. It is not rubberized . It will probably stay put better on a carpeted floor.

Having lived with felines for almost 20 years they do have distinct personalities. Carol Anne prefers the boxes everything comes in. This product was no exception. After the unboxing she did understand that this was yet another gift for her and that she could use it as a scratcher. And for a brief while she did.

The scratcher is well made and was well packaged.
